Coy Memorial Park was donated to Green Township in 1960 for recreation and relaxation. Located on State Route 165, sporting 3 pavilions, a handful of playgrounds and fields, and much more, it is a great place to spend an afternoon out.

Green Township is served by a Volunteer Fire/Emergency Medial Service Department, currently equipped with 6 fire trucks and 2 ambulances.

A bit about Greenford Township

Greenford Township is a small, quiet township in Mahoning County, Ohio, located in the northeastern part of the county, and is bordered by the cities of Youngstown and Niles to the north, and the township of Poland to the south.

The township was founded in 1806, originally in Columbiana County, but 40 years later in 1846, it was moved to Mahoning County. Its post office originated in 1831.

Beyond that, some of the oldest still standing bricks in the township's heart and center belong to, firstly: The Greenford Evangelical Lutheran Church, dated 1951, with an extension dated 1994. Secondly, the library, having bricks dated in 1978.
