The State of Ohio currently has a Burning ban in effect for the months of March, April, May, October, and November from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This means you are not allowed to open burn during these select times.
This is a vital part of controlling the risk of fires getting out of control and damaging your or someone else's property.
If you are having a controlled burn outside of that time frame,
you are urged to let the fire department know by calling (330) 533-4614.
A dispatcher will answer your call, please provide them with your name, location, and a contact phone number.
From there, they will relay that information to the members of the fire department.
If you have any questions before burning, you may contact the fire department's business phone at (330) 286-3509.
Important: this phone number is not monitored 24/7, so please leave a message and the fire department will return your call as soon as possible.
